The Charles McCullom Scholarship Fund

The Charles McCullom Scholarship Fund was initiated in 1991 in memory of Charlie McCullom, Senior Vice President of Nabisco Foods. The scholarship allows Charlie’s name to live on in the industry to which he dedicated so many years of his life. His tireless efforts to build solid relationships among retailers, wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers and brokers were appreciated by all who knew Charlie. The Scholarship is a testimony to the industry’s gratitude for all of his work and achievements as well as his belief that highly educated people entering the industry will continue to make the grocery business a dynamic place for career enhancement.

The Scholarship Fund has awarded grants to five students each year since 1992 and in the 1998-1999 academic year awarded $1,500 scholarships to each recipient. We have added two additional scholarships this year, for a total of seven, and will again be awarding $1,500 grants. The goal of the Scholarship Committee is not only to continue the awards but also to build the total number and the amount awarded to each recipient. In order to do that broad based support is needed from FIA’s retailer/wholesaler and supplier/manufacturer members.

The Charles McCullom Scholarship Fund is a tax-exempt non-profit organization. Personal and corporate contributions are tax deductible. Please forward contributions to:
