Red Carpet Salute
"An Industry Tradition"
In 1997, the Food Industry Alliance of New York State initiated an outstanding industry trade
event entitled the Leadership Banquet, which was renamed in 2007
to the Red Carpet Salute. During this fall event, retail and wholesale industry
executives personally are recognized for their contributions to the grocery business. In most
cases, these executives are the top officers of some of the industry’s most prominent companies
that account for over $45 billion in annual sales. Accompanying the strong contingent of industry
leaders is the sales and merchandising executives who make their company’s purchasing decisions.
To underscore the importance of the Red Carpet Salute, just consider that New York is fortunate to
have a concentration of the most respected and innovative grocery companies in the nation conducting
business in the Empire State. This fact is reinforced by the executive strength of leaders who attend
--- normally numbering 25. These top caliber corporate officers provide leadership in the
most competitive marketplace in the country. Not often does the elite of the industry gather together
for a single trade event --- but, that’s the trademark of the
Red Carpet Salute.
Revenues from the Salute greatly assist FIA’s successful and aggressive efforts to represent
the industry before New York State government. Therefore, the Red
Carpet Salute provides not
only an evening of industry camaraderie and networking at the highest levels, but also serves as an essential
fundraiser to support FIA’s efforts in protecting the industry from the damaging intrusion of
government in one of the country’s bellwether states.
Ticket sales for the Salute begin in early summer and are conducted through FIA’s chain and wholesale members or by calling FIA's Albany office at 518-434-1900.
