Membership in the Food Industry Alliance of New York State gives grocers at all levels the protection and representation they need before state and local governments. Whether the issue is Food Stamps, WIC, food store sanitation inspections, licensing, taxation or a multitude of other matters, FIA exists to be your constant presence before government. While government is your silent --- and, sometimes, not so silent --- partner in your business through its time-consuming and punitive laws and regulations, FIA understands that the more intrusive government becomes the more money and time you divert from what you do best --- managing a business. But, when government does intervene, you need an advocate that already has cut through the red tape to represent your interests. And, that function is exactly what FIA provides to its members.
